Congratulations to Florence who has won the 2024 Orwell Youth Prize for Writing with her powerful and moving ‘Love Behind Closed Doors’. The judges said “The emotions of an older couple liberated to love by the 1967 change in the law touch the heart, and should remind us how many round the world still suffer in fear.” As well as publishing her work, Florence also won a set of Orwell’s work for herself and the school!
